What on earth.......?!

Greetings Friends and Family

So, what on earth prompted me to write a blog? More importantly, what on earth prompted me to put all my belongings in storage, buy a motorhome, and head out for the great unknown? Well, this is the year that I turn the big 5-0 and I've always wanted a 'house on wheels', so, when the opportunity presented itself I decided to make that dream into a reality. My best friend and traveling partner, Laurie, who shares the same passion, will also turn the big 5-0 this year, and we decided to take the adventure together. What about the blog? Well, I thought a blog would be a fun and easy way to share the adventure with my friends and family and maybe meet a few new friends along the way.

 

Currently, I am staying at the Cypress Grove RV park in Rogue River, OR (which is a nice park with easy freeway access for those of you traveling I-5 between Medford and Grants Pass). Laurie and I decided to stay here for a month and familiarize ourselves with our traveling rigs since we are new to RVing, and to outfit them with the necessary items. My rig is an older 23ft Ford Honey Class C, I wanted something less than 25ft because I was nervous about driving something 'big'. It is the perfect size for me and my two cats, and easier to drive than I thought it would be. On March 1 we will be heading down to Jefferson, TX to stay for a month at Backwater Jack's RV park.
